Senior Actuarial Analyst

 

About the Role

 

We are looking for a Senior Actuarial Analyst to support the Appointed Actuary in the following responsibilities:

  • Canadian statutory reserving and reporting under IFRS 17
  • Financial forecast modelling, Financial Condition Testing (FCT) and ORSA process
  • Transition to and stabilization in IFRS 17, working closely with local and global project teams and across functions, eg. Finance, IT, etc.
  • Lead ad hoc projects and provide guidance to junior analysts

 

About the Team

 

This position will report to the P&C Appointed Actuary based in in Toronto, Canada. The P&C Actuarial Management team reports to the Head Actuarial & Reserving P&C Americas. We are responsible for all the corporate actuarial requirements of Swiss Reinsurance Canada Ltd, Canadian Branch and Swiss Re Corporate Solutions America Holding Corporation, Canadian Branch (collectively the " Canadian Branches").

 

About You

 

  • University degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics
  • Experience in reserving, capital modelling and knowledge on financial reporting (eg. IFRS 4/IFRS 17) preferred
  • 5+ years actuarial experience preferred
  • Certificate of FCAS/ACAS or close
