About the team

The role is part of the distribution management team with a focus on the mid-corp segment working closely with the CUO Standard team.  The CUO Standard team has been established to bring simplicity and efficiency to our clients, intermediaries and colleagues. We believe that by creating standard products, we can meet many clients' and intermediaries' needs better, while also enabling true portfolio underwriting.  

  • Customers will experience products that are consistent, easier to understand, and reliable.
  • Intermediaries will experience a more reliable, predictable underwriting process that is easier to work with.
  • Colleagues will experience a continuously improving, portfolio underwriting environment supported by greater analytics.

 

About you

We’re looking for a Customer & Distribution Relationship Manager to be our 'Standard' product advocate and ally with our strategic partners (Brokers and Clients). In your day-to-day, you’ll research and explore new partnerships, frequently connect with potential partners, and optimize the performance and relationships with existing partners. If you are passionate about tech-driven solutions, have experience in the mid-corporate commercial segment, and can drive profitable growth while maintaining an astonishing high level of client satisfaction, this role is for you! This role is perfect for you if you:

  • Have phenomenal negotiation and communication skills
  • Have a passion for delighting clients, doing things differently, and re-imagining the client relationship to deliver win-win solutions
  • Have an established footprint in the Property and Casualty (P&C) mid-market segment and feel comfortable forging new ones from scratch!
  • Have been involved with carriers from the broker side or have been in a client facing distribution role
  • Are clear, creative, and can develop compelling partner and portfolio level results
  • Proactive, independent, reliable BUT a great teammate!
  • Have solid understanding of an agile start-up culture and embrace new ways of working
  • BA/BS in a relevant field and 7+ years of related experience

 

About the role

  • Identify, build and maintain influential connections with partners to become “THE” point person for 'Standard' product
  • Generate and develop business opportunities with these partners to drive profitable growth
  • Build innovative customer propositions from origination to execution
  • Team up with internal and external allies to execute on strategy and handle customer relationships proactively, timely and with transparency
  • Roll-up your sleeves to onboard your partners and continue to build relationships as the partnerships and business grow
  • Manage, report and drive distribution partners' results against target metrics while holding yourself accountable
  • Promote our innovative tech-enabled risk-solutions, seize cross-sell and up-sell opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues to drive even better processes, systems, and the best customer experiences
