About the role

This is an opportunity to join the P&C Solutions Americas team, the team leading the execution of Swiss Re's third strategic pillar focused on bringing together technology with Swiss Re's scale and expertise to support our insurance company clients in achieving their goals across the Americas region. P&C Solutions Americas is a dynamic, growing team with innovation, agility and client centricity at its core. This role will support on Solutions strategic initiatives, including innovation, project management of existing and emerging Solutions, and cultural change initiatives (including communications with senior leaders).

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop knowledge of emerging technologies relevant for the insurance industry, sufficient to own a particular Solution topic for the Americas region
  • Participate in the development and confirmation of business cases
  • Analysis of market trends and competitor strategies
  • Support team leads on strategic initiatives, potentially including client engagements and change management efforts
  • Leverage skills in project management and leadership to manage multi-track projects

 

About the team

Swiss Re P&C Solutions leverages Swiss Re's risk expertise, strong capital base and new technology to help clients grow and improve profitability. We achieve this by developing innovative solutions and sharing the risk, with a particular goal of reducing the protection gap. The P&C Solutions Americas team works closely with the global Solutions team, and will also seek to drive regionally developed prioritized Solutions. In the U.S. we seek to use Solutions to support the focused goal of New Reinsurance Spend, and ultimately increase the size of the reinsurance market. You will closely collaborate with P&C Solutions cross-functional teams such as Client Managers, Business Development, Business Management, Risk Management, Communications and Marketing.

 

About You

  • Successfully completed university degree
  • Strong interest in/motivation to learn about insurance/reinsurance
  • You are a creative team-oriented self-starter with strong analytical skills, an entrepreneurial mindset and proven design-thinking skills.
  • You can navigate ambiguity, and work effectively in a changing and quickly evolving environment
  • Ability to shape strong presentations and narratives that influence and commit people to change
  • Innovative, creative, excited to learn
  • Patient, organized, very good project management skills
  • Aptitude to express him-/herself effectively in one-on-one conversations and small groups
  • Mature & self-confident; Able to work with clients, business partners or senior colleagues
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills and can focus on details without losing track of the bigger picture
  • You are able to "think out of the box" and have the ability to inspire others
  • Ability and enthusiasm to work in a global and multicultural environment,
  • Proven expertise to work independently and proactively
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Additional language skills would be beneficial in particular Spanish or Portuguese
