About the team

The iptiQ Americas Pricing team is involved with all aspects of the pricing and product development process and collaborates with other areas of iptiQ and across Swiss Re to support the coordination, infrastructure and competences that are key to driving forward this business. 

 

As a Pricing Actuarial Intern with iptiQ Americas, you would have a unique and exciting opportunity to join the team in charge of running a US insurance business unit within a global company. You will be part of a diverse and highly driven team committed to delivering value-added services to a wide range of clients and providing life and health insurance to as many consumers as possible.

 

About the role

The Pricing Actuarial Intern will assist with the creation and modification of pricing models, monitoring experience studies, testing assumption changes, performing competitive analysis to assist with Pricing studies and other pricing and profitability-related analysis.  You will obtain experience with Excel and MG-ALFA, the pricing software used by many Insurance companies in the industry. 

 

About You

• Currently enrolled in an undergrad program as Sophomore or higher, preferably pursuing a degree in Math, Statistics, Actuarial Science or Finance

• Exceptional academic performance (GPA of 3.0 and above)

• Passed at least 1 Society of Actuaries exam

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience with Excel preferred; VBA, Access, R and/or Python are a plus.
• Must be self-motivated, hardworking, analytical and proactive
• Requires attention to detail, good organization skills, and the ability to work independently

• Must be able to work well with individuals at all levels within the organization and be able to articulate ideas
