Test Engineer Intern

About the Team:

CoE Lead Quality Assurance made of a team of 7 internal Swiss Re employees. The 7 internal team lead a team of about 60 external test engineers. The team is responsible for testing for P&C and L&H.

 

About the Role:

-Hands on testing on Functional and non-functional test automation tools: Plan, design, script, and execute tests for software.

-Create, update, and manage test data.

-Ensure all test environments and test data effectively meet and support test plans and test approach.

-Support quality assurance reviews when necessary.

-Ensure QA Best Practices are maintained and support the gating and Release processes.

-Risk management and release reporting activities.

-Develops and implements Quality Control Metrics.

-Raise and track found defects in tracking tools.

-Suggest changes for enhancement to the tools, workflow, process and reporting.

-Hands on testing for data security per request

 

About You:

-Information Technology, Software Engineering, or Computer Science majors preferred 

-Knowledge of SQL

-Experience using Oracle, SQL server, Python, .Net/C#, Java preferred 

-Proficient in Microsoft Suite

 

For Armonk, the base salary will be $20-$30 per hour, depending on location, qualifications, projected graduation year and/or highest degree held.
