About the role


Are you looking to take your next step in a start-up environment offering room for you to grow? As an Operations Associate, you have an exciting opportunity to join the Insurance Operations team in charge of setting-up and running the sales operations of iptiQ, a rapidly expanding business unit within a global organization. You will be responsible for the oversight of our new business processes and the analysis and resolution of production issues. IN addition, other responsibilities include writing business requirements and designing and executing of test plans. You will also support the business by using data to answer strategic business issues while working collaboratively with different stakeholders. You become extremely familiar with the data that drives the business forward.


As part of this role, you will:


  • Conduct regularly scheduled oversight activities to ensure smooth operations
  • Identify opportunities to automate oversight activities and support implementation of the automation
  • Create test plans, conduct testing and provide test sign-off
  • Review and draft business requirements
  • Conduct production testing and post-production monitoring as necessary; and
  • Be a problem solver: analyze issues, identify root causes, propose solutions and consistently track issue resolution.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business problem to be solved across iptiQ's Life and Health Insurance portfolios
  • Support the business on strategic questions that arise (e.g. around use of technology, customer journeys, opportunities to develop new products) and support the use of data to drive key decisions
  • Support teams by collaborating with business, analytics, and technology units throughout iptiQ and Swiss Re and external sources to assist with day-to-day tactical data needs and long-term strategic goals
  • Work very closely with the business partners and external solution vendors; and
  • Develop knowledge of processes and systems across all front-end functions, including intersections with other functional units and external vendors and partners

  • You are resourceful in overcoming barriers to achieve objectives. You can handle multiple assignments with overlapping delivery dates. You learn how to use new tools quickly.

  • You are familiar with agile environments.
  • You effectively communicate business issues, objectives and scope. You have strong presentation skills and enjoy working within a rapidly changing environment.
