Product Manager

In addition, iptiQ owns a business unit called Sales Solutions that provides E2E distribution capabilities to support partners that need help in this space. We help partners (e.g. Ecosystem, Financials and Insurers) bring top-tier insurance products to their consumers, through our best-in-class marketing & sales teams.

About You 

  • Understand client business process and potential constraints (budget, timeline, expertise, etc.) to define optimal and reasonable scope and expectations
  • Lead and facilitate discovery and scoping sessions with clients including requirement definition to deliver business value
  • Define and document functional solution architecture, business entity models, present options to clients with a recommendation based on impacts and high-level cost estimates
  • Incorporate past experiences, business savvy, creative and out-of-the-box thinking in designing solutions to meet business needs
  • Gain a thorough understanding of our product capabilities, develop domain expertise and assume ownership of product roadmaps
  • Work closely with external parties to conduct/facilitate requirements reviews and to ensure timely delivery of capabilities.
  • Coordinate with various internal technical specialists including architects to ensure our solutions follow best practices and comply with internal security and governance standards
  • Own the solution and provide business architecture oversight and delivery of the solution throughout the project
  • Provide recommendations on third-party applications and participate in RFP evaluations of new tools and technologies
  • Challenge technical solutions proposed to ensure we follow good design principles leading to user friendly, resilient, and scalable systems
  • Be an effective consultant and technical partner to the business team that results in the most efficient utilization of technology and resources to rapidly meet business goals
  • Participate in QA checkpoints during delivery to provide guidance and ensure solution aligns with original scope
  • Lead clients through defined agile delivery processes

 

Experience:

  • 8+ years of progressive experience gained through multiple roles such as PO/BA, functional design, solution delivery and project management
  • Adept at describing business use cases to technical audience and in simplifying technical solutions to business audience
  • Broad understanding of multiple technical areas such as web applications, databases, cloud computing, systems integration, APIs, ETL, CRM and data governance
  • Advanced knowledge of using MS Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
  • Proven track record of client service delivery in client facing roles – client/customer references a significant plus     
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Experience in the insurance industry required
  • Excellent remote communication habits and practice – i.e., phone, video, and written
  • Learner mentality - constantly seeking to build professional knowledge and experience
  • Understand and present a platform first mindset - solving problems with the least expensive and most efficient tools available, that are easily adopted and supported by clients
  • Very detailed-oriented in capturing business scenarios/processes - written or illustrated
  • Strong business aptitude and ability to frame problems with a viewpoint to achieve the business goal
  • Ability to collaborate and work autonomously
  • Strong operational and problem-solving mindset, decisive with an extremely proactive and assertive attitude
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, influencing and negotiation skills

 

For New York the estimated base salary range for this position is $124,000 to $186,000. The specific salary offered for this or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.  At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
