About the role


Role description:

  • Liaising with colleagues and clients to understand and document business requirements.
  • Testing the Magnum Application to ensure that the rulebase is correctly configured, and that the application is operating correctly for all the products.
  • Creating and executing the regression test pack in the Magnum Control Center, and testing the complex rules in Magnum Connect.
  • Preparing the application specifications and test plans for rule development and testing.
  • Building rules and fixing defects in the Magnum rulebase.
  • Client support: Handling client queries and changes in the specifications during the deployment process and post go-live
  • Working on special projects per graduates skill set, interest and the product needs.


About the team


You will be part of the Magnum North American team within the Life and Health Products Solutions unit. Magnum is Swiss Re's market leading L&H automated underwriting system (application software). Magnum forms a key part of our reinsurance strategy, enabling our clients to automate the underwriting process, leading to reduced costs and better consumer engagement.


This is an exciting time with the Americas Magnum team as we are experiencing significant new client activity and developing and commercializing new and innovative UW solutions. The rotation also involves collaboration within the North American and global Magnum teams, as well as involvement in individual client projects.  There could also be on-site periods with clients, so willingness to travel is also required.




About You


  • Strong interest in/motivation to learn about insurance/reinsurance
  • Ability and enthusiasm to work in a global and multicultural environment, and to be mobile in terms of workplace or location if required
  • Strong technical, analytical and quantitative skills to be able to understand, test, and build rules in the Magnum application rulebase.
  • Strong interpersonal skills & flexibility are key requirements for the role.
