About the role

We have crafted this new position within Financial Planning & Analysis team to increase our support for US L&H's performance measurement and financial reporting activities. You would work with Client Markets as well as Strategy & Operations, sharing insight into our portfolio and ensuring that decisions are made based on the most up to date and reliable information.

Critical responsibilities in the role would include presenting and explaining quarterly Performance Management metrics to Client Markets and others, including impacts at a deal and/or client level. Responsibilities would also include helping collate the financial insight of the FP&A team and the market knowledge and strategic insights of Client Markets, to help all units deliver on their critical mandates. At times the role will require coordinating with colleagues in Canada and Latin America to deliver consolidated Americas reporting. As such, the position offers the opportunity to work with a team involved in diverse roles, ranging from origination to financial reporting to planning and performance management.

Reinsurance Finance utilizes a mix of regional resources from multiple US offices, as well as teams in Zurich and Bangalore. This position requires an agile worker, one who can find opportunity in the overlapping responsibilities, and ensure we get the most efficient distribution of responsibilities across multiple teams.

As the role is responsible for supporting the compilation and presentation of US L&H performance analysis, the responsibilities would include the following activities:

  • Communicating EVM New Business and Inforce results to colleagues in Finance, Client Markets and the Strategy & Operations team
  • Prioritizing and responding to ad-hoc requests from our colleagues in other teams
  • Delivering consolidated L&H Americas figures for all of our partner teams
  • Ensuring consistency between various Performance Management reports delivered to different teams on different bases (for example: client level vs portfolio level)
  • Incorporating feedback from Client Markets into ongoing Performance Management analysis

The candidate must exhibit an ability to work well with peers and other supporting resources in reaching a common goal.
