About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Data Governance Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this mid-senior role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping and implementing data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, compliance, and security across the organization. You will also act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, fostering collaboration and alignment on data initiatives.
Day-day in the role will include the following (but not limited to)
- Be a key member of the P&C Re DG Practice and help create & implement data governance frameworks and related projects
- Help conceptualise and drive numerous aspects of the practice (not limited to Master data management, data issue management, data quality management, etc.)
- Board management – Help organise and manage a Data Governance Board involving Managing Directors and senior leaders. Prepare and present strategic data governance updates, challenges, and recommendations to the board and work through relevant outcomes
- Help steer group wide Data Governance initiatives as well as help implementing them in the business unit
- Conceptualise and facilitate trainings aimed at increasing the data knowledge and culture within P&C Re
- Be a trusted partner to guide and support enabling team members to continuously improve the Core system landscape
- Consulting partner in various P&C Re data governance steering forums
- Be Trusted advisor on a variety of Data Compliance topics such as Data Protection, access management, cross border data transfer, data classification, etc.
- Continuously contribute and shape Analytical Data Modelling (ADM) initiatives as well as ongoing maintenance of attributes and meta data of P&C Re data sets
About the Team:

About You:
Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a data related stream/Computer Science/Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- 6-10 years of demonstrable experience within a data governance practice or managing similar engagements in management consulting/professional services
- Proven experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
- Experience analysing, articulating, and defining the requirements of business ideas; driving data gathering and evaluation, assessing and redesigning processes, and developing specific artefacts to help bridge the gap between strategy and execution
- Results orientation with a clear track record of execution and pragmatism in prioritization —a "safe pair of hands"
- Program management skills will be appreciated but can also be learned in the role
Techinical Skill:
- Proficiency in creating clear, concise, and visually compelling presentations to effectively communicate data governance strategies and updates to diverse audiences.
- Good understanding of data management principles, data quality frameworks, and metadata management
- Familiarity with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, or similar)
Soft Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain effective working relationships in a multi-cultural environment
- Dedicated and able to work independently as well as with global teams
- Attention to detail: A passion for detail while keeping the big picture in mind
- Positive mindset and passion for solving problems, curiosity for learning new concepts, and enthusiasm for experimentation
- Should be comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity (e.g., ability to handle diversity and work in a matrix organization)
