Financial Reporting Professional II

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • Prepare and file premium tax returns, data calls, surcharge reports, guaranty fund payments.
  • Mining system data for required state reporting.
  • Track guaranty fund credits, premium tax refunds and credits.
  • Prepare related accounts reconciliations and detailed analysis & research on all the open items.
  • Communicate with State Insurance Departments and related state agencies regarding required filings.
  • Ability to organize and process a variety of tasks at once while working to stay ahead of deadlines.
  • Collaboration with different teams on frequent basis
  • Ensure compliance with the risk and control framework and the audit requirements
  • Liaise with stakeholders for the various tasks
  • Participate and support Finance related projects and perform ad hoc tasks as required
  • Identify and evaluate process improvement possibilities and work with transformation team
  • Needs to work on the SOPs for all the transitioned activities and sign off procedure will be on yearly basis from business stakeholder

KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • University degree in Finance/Accounting; (Re) Insurance knowledge is preferred
  • Minimum experience of 4 years in an Accounting and Reporting function
  • Accounting degree/diploma (CPA, CA, ACCA) or MBA from reputed institution is a plus
  • Understanding of US GAAP and Statutory Reporting is a plus
  • Strong ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Should be good in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Working knowledge of automation tool (Power BI, RPA, Python) is a plus
  • Self -starter, able to prioritize keys tasks & manage deliverables effectively
  • Highly self-motivated and result oriented. Able to work in a global and multicultural environment
  • Flexible to travel when dealing with remote locations
  • Flexible to work in CET working hours from office
