Position objectives and position summary (short and precise definition of most important activities)

Supporting the Global System development and testing needs, along with managing production support on system issues reported by L&H Actuarial valuation users . Roles includes developing testing plans, execution and implementation of changes along with system design for process changes and future enhancement for reporting requirements

Main tasks/activities/responsibilities (in brief statements describe the main accountabilities of the job and specify responsibilities)

  • Supporting the testing strategy plan for all Actuarial System changes deployment
  • Coordination on overall scope of changes, system enhancement requirements with Regional partners, L&H IT and L&H Finance IT for all reporting and process changes
  • Delivering standard process and system usage across regions, ensuring consistency in implementation of process changes
  • Enhancing efficiency of system and end user productivity by contributing innovative solution to meet business needs
  • Working along with Central team testing resources and System inclined resources by providing guidance and ensuring work engagement
  • Developing training materials and enhance end user understanding of system and process changes
  • Coordinating and resolving production issues in timely manners
  • Developing testing scenarios, conducting solution review sessions ensuring the changes are well understood by end users supported by change request documents and illustration to understand changes.

About You (education, linguistic ability, professional experience, leadership qualities, soft skills)

  • 6+ years of experience in actuarial system developments and testing, implementation of system changes
  • Graduate or Post graduate in any stream (preferably Computer Science/Actuarial Science)
  • Ability to work accurately and deliver on a timely manner
  • Hands on experience in running testing strategy, co-ordinating across multiple functions
  • Must be able to interpret business specs and ask clarifying questions
  • Strong data organization and analysis skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong learning motive
  • Proficiency in working Oracle based platforms with strong SQL knowledge

Exposure to Swiss Re valuation Landscape or Reporting platforms would be an additional advantage
