Operational Resilience Manager

About the team

The Operational Resilience team leads the implementation and evolution of Operational Resilience at Swiss Re. We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced business continuity or operational resilience practitioner to help steer and drive this topic.


In your role, you will…


  • Contribute to the creation of regulatory compliant policies, standards, and models related to Operational Resilience
  • Perform analysis of end-to-end value chains, including identification of single points of failure and interdependencies, and determining risk tolerances
  • Plan, coordinate, and lead scenario testing (severe but plausible exercises) for specific business services, and capture and challenge disruption tolerance levels
  • Prepare periodic reports and critical metrics
  • Identify developments in the risk and regulatory landscape and assist in developing mitigation strategies

What we need from you


  • Background in Operational Resilience, Business Continuity Management, or IT Disaster Recovery
  • Experience in programme development and creation of policies and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and with a high level of autonomy
  • Comfortable working with all levels of management
  • Excellent written and spoken English


  • Previous roles in operational risk management, internal/external audit, or compliance
  • Agile methodology project management
  • Team management experience
  • CBCI or equivalent business continuity qualification
