Position objectives and position summary
- Targeted in-force treaty reviews and experience analysis
- Reprice of reviewable rate treaties
- Valuation for recapture purposes
- Scenario analysis and quantitative assessment of EVM and USGAAP/IFRS financial impacts
- In-force initiatives to make business portfolio healthier.
- Support in the analysis for market Portfolio Review Groups / Operational Groups
- To apply technical knowledge and process skills to tackle problems and develop solutions
Main tasks/activities/responsibilities
- Monitor the portfolio on key measures and provide insights to various stakeholders.
- To apply technical knowledge and process skills to tackle problems and develop solutions
- Interaction with independent valuation result reviewers
- Managing a team of individual and deliver on quality results.
About Team
We are one of the pioneer team to get into the global valuation processes that Swiss Re has been targeting and involved in end-to-end aspects of Swiss Re ASIA reporting. i.e. starting from Data handling until explaining the movements in reporting figures.
About You
- Advanced actuarial student with close to qualification.
- Around 6+ years of experience in reinsurance, life or health insurance products
- Experience with market consistent valuation and/or USGAAP an advantage
- Ability to work and judge independently
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good business and financial acuity
- Work with teams across various locations
- Strong technical knowledge, proficiency in working with spreadsheet packages, knowledge of a modelling software preferred (MoSes, Prophet).
