About the role

 

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with experience and is willing to take up a technical, IT and administrative business support to a global team of Risk Engineers located across the regions within Swiss Re Corporate Solution (CorSo) Risk Engineering (RES), mainly related to daily business activities for the international business (domestic and international) and the PULSE (client portal) project activities with the aim to improve efficiency, quality, and consistency.

 

Your tasks will include the support in following areas:

 

International Business 

  • Monitoring international businesses and guiding the engineers in performing the RES services in a legal and compliant manner. This includes contacting and facilitating legal and compliance guidance for engineers in their queries regarding potential RES surveys and/or RES report disclaimers.
  • Assisting the engineers with organizing surveys
  • Supporting underwriters in their day-to-day questions regarding RES in the context of international business
  • Collaboration with our Network partners worldwide
  • Tracking of vendor activities
  • Assisting engineers in arranging mandatory inspections (property and casualty)
  • Tracking of RES activities in the context of international Business
  • Project support for the future development of the PULSE (IPA)
  • Training material for International Business

 

Invoicing

  • Issue and tracking of invoicing in collaboration with the account engineer, group tax and underwriting
  • Handling of incoming invoices from the vendors
  • Prevent engineers from sending invoices from servicing companies when it is not required

About you

 

Professional background:

  • A graduation degree (technical background like engineering degree preferred)
  • Good IT knowledge (Excel, Powerpoint Macro, VBS as well as DB programming expected; Share Point knowledge desirable but not a must)
  • English language proficiency
  • Strong team player
  • 2-5 years' relevant experience
  • Basic knowledge of the insurance industry is highly appreciated
