About the role:

In your position you will be supporting the P&C EVM reporting team which is responsible for the EVM close process and reporting of the global P&C business. In this role you will perform defined specific, quarterly closing activities in coordination with the P&C EVM Team in Zurich. The candidate will decide and act with a degree of autonomy in practice areas within the delegated authorities. The candidate will acquire the relevant EVM principles, operational and financial processes, and financial statement requirements on all levels of reporting.

 

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • EVM Financial Statement, Cash flows and Capital reconciliations
  • Maintenance and Change Management process of EVM parameters & standard reports
  • Responsible for the audit documentation on the tasks you own
  • Assist in managing the quarterly P&C EVM financial statement submission, compiling and analyzing data.
  • Maintenance of Team SharePoint site
  • Involve in projects of Finance Reinsurance based on the requirement

 

About the team:

The Financial Accounting department in Finance Reinsurance is responsible for the close process and financial reporting of – mainly - Property & Casualty (P&C) business. It covers all Accounting bases - US GAAP, Statutory and Economic Value Management (EVM) - and consists of units taking care of Intragroup retrocessions (IGR), external retrocessions, non-traditional business, P&C EVM Reporting and Master Data Management.

 

About you:

  • CFA Level 1/ Level 2 qualified
  • Exposure to various valuation system is an added advantage (like IFRS, US GAAP, etc.,)
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a role relevant to Accounting or Financial Reporting
  • Insurance or reinsurance accounting experience preferable
  • Experience in working in a complex process environment required
  • Experience in working in cross-functional teams
  • Experienced with accounting / reporting systems required
  • Ability to summarize clearly the key findings on all quarterly tasks you perform
  • Demonstrate personal accountability and dedication for area of responsibility
  • Team player, good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and spoken skills in English
