About the role:

Finance IT Application Service Managers are responsible for providing operational services for all Finance IT applications worldwide. This includes all IT Service Management processes (ITIL), with special focus on incident and problem management, availability management and continuous improvement. Consulting other teams on service management procedures is part of the role. Additionally they are responsible to on-board and manage the application support services provided by an external Indian provider.


Responsibilities for the Finance IT Application Service Management team are:

  • Manage services provided by external Indian provider over the whole lifecycle to ensure quality and timeliness of delivery.
  • On-board new application or support tasks to external Indian provider over the whole lifecycle.
  • Coordinate service delivery with Level 3 application or business analysts
  • Close coordination with the big projects (Atlas SAP and CorFACTS) to assure a smooth onboarding.
  • Prepare and conduct the weekly Finance IT Operations Meeting
  • Manage On-call duty sheet for Finance IT
  • Central point of contact for Finance IT for planned infrastructure outages thereby assuring system availability according to the Finance Closing calendar.
  • Communication of relevant information to the concerned stakeholders
  • Lead or contribute to Continuous Improvement Initiatives (CSI)
  • Manage Service Management Processes
  • Consult other teams on IT Service Management


About the team:

The Finance IT Application Service Team is responsible for the application management according to business requirements for all Finance IT application. This includes all Closing as well as Treasury and Travel and Expense applications. Our customers are developers, business analysts and end user and they are distributed worldwide. Delivery will be provided from Zurich and Bangalore from 2019 on.

 About You:

  • University or equivalent educational level in a numerate discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Maths).
  • 3-5 years of experience in a comparable role in service management, application development or business analysis.
  • Experience in Service Management (ITIL), Service Now or (business) process modelling would be a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly across different cultures and functions.
  • Used to work process oriented, being able to think in on an abstract level and able to analyse data to derive new findings.
  • Solution focussed, able to work independently
  • Team Player, willingness to share knowledge and experience within and across teams and functions.
