About the Role:

•Enable Bangalore BSC Business Unit Heads & leaders to identifying and leading implementation of change approach and process improvements for their respective units

•Lead Swiss Re Bangalore vision for Continuous Improvement and Centre of Excellence.

•Creates a structured approach to process improvement throughout the Business Solution Centre (BSC)

•Define and drive Continuous Improvement (CI) & Change Excellence (CX) initiatives/projects

•Offer technical expertise on methodologies (like BPM, Lean, etc.), tools and practices, incl. training

•Set up standard work on best practices and update system on identified enhancements.

•Review business processes to enhancing effectiveness and benchmark with Industry Best Practice.

•Enable processes with continuous improvement techniques for performance optimization.


About the Team:

The Strategic Initiatives CI/CX team:

•Works as a Consultant to support local management to achieve their vision for Continuous Improvement and Change

•Is responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of change approach and continual improvement standards within the location

•Leading and managing improvement efforts and projects in the location across the value chains

•Train and coach local management including team leaders and team members in the location to develop their skills and enabling them to internalise a Continual Improvement mind-set

•Coaching and guiding unit heads, section heads and team leaders in order to ensure the development and implementation of improvement targets and roadmaps according to Continual Improvement transformation programs.

•Identify cross location and cross unit topics to improve overall productivity and eliminate waste and conduct improvement projects accordingly

•Cooperate with all stakeholders (e.g. Continual Improvement experts in other locations, process /value stream owners, location heads, unit heads) and strive for the best solution for the Swiss Re value chains.

•Create periodic format presentations on company implementation progress to management.

•Lead CX/CI meetings, document clear actions and enable timeline achievement.

•Leads training and mentoring on Consulting concepts to employees throughout the organization


About you: 

•Minimum 10-12 years working experience in consulting environment.

•Consulting Experience will be preferred with clients in a leadership and/or senior expert function of a financial services or re-/insurance business

•Considerable experience in Driving Process Improvement Projects, Change management, Lean, Continual Improvement and Operational Excellence Initiatives

•Good experience and sounds understanding of Project Management Methodologies

•Exposure to multi-cultural and dynamic work environment

•Post-Graduation in Business Management with certification in change management and process improvement

•Excellent command of spoken and written English

•Able to make decisions within the parameters of the role and explain the business rationale behind decisions, demonstrating a methodical/rational process for decisions.

•Demonstrated flexibility in adapting to changes in objectives and priorities

•Structured/well organized with strong analytical skills and problem solving attitude
