About the Role

 

A member of Asia Legal & Compliance team with primary focus in advising legal issues relating to Swiss Re’s operation in China. Swiss Re currently operates composite reinsurance business, as well as primary property & casualty insurance business in China. This role will focus on supporting Swiss Re on various activities in China to deliver our long-term China Ambition, and advising various cross Business Unit collaborations, operating platform, technology and data initiatives.

The principle accountabilities include:

•     Provide legal advisory support to Swiss Re’s operation in China

•     Advise on strategic cross Business Unit growth themes in China

•     Advise on operating platform initiatives in China

•     Advise on research and innovation activities in China, technology and data initiatives

•     Provide local legal support on designated Group activities in China, including investment projects and corporate social responsibility activities

•     Handle general corporate matters and enhance corporate governance in China.

About You

 

•     Bachelor's degree or above in law and legal qualification in China

•     Minimum 10 years of relevant in-house or private practice experience

•     Attention to details and ability to work independently

•     Good communication and cross-cultural skills

•     Fluent in Chinese and English

•     Strong business acumen

•     Managing work efficiently including proper prioritisation
