About the Role

 

The role is to support the CRO China by providing oversight risk-taking activities for the Reinsurance businesses in China.

•     Builds, maintains and fosters high quality relationships with key internal partners and external stakeholders such as regulators and clients;

 

•     Be responsible for the establishment and implementation of risk management standards, risk control framework and internal process in line with Swiss Re internal requirement and China local regulatory requirements, e.g., requirements under China Risk Oriented Solvency System (C-ROSS)

 

•     Be responsible for meeting the external (e.g. SARMRA, IRR, etc) and internal risk management requirements (risk dashboard, risk matrix, etc)

 

•     Coordinate the enhancement of risk management policies, in line with Swiss Re group internal framework, to meet the evolving external requirements.

 

•     Helps identify top risk issues within China reinsurance business and develop mitigation action plans

 

•     Monitors risk exposures for China reinsurance business including insurance, reserving, financial market, credit, funding and liquidity risks in order to highlight any actions that may be required to stay within the target capitalization and risk tolerance of the business. Coordinates and prepare regular reporting on the above.

 

•     Supports the reviews of the Business Risk Review teams where required.

 

•     Receives and reviews internal and external Audit / Operational Risk / Business Risk Review reports for the region in order to monitor the risk landscape, the appropriateness of the internal control environment and of actions proposed to address any weaknesses identified.

 

•     Provide risk trainings and enhance the risk culture

Swiss Re Beijing is looking for an experienced risk professional to joini our risk management team.

 

About You

 

•     5+ years of insurance or reinsurance experiences in risk management, actuarial, finance, audit or other related areas. Candidates with 2+ years of risk management experience strongly preferred.

 

•     P&C and/or L&H business expertise and market knowledge

 

•     Excellent spoken and written proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese

 

•     Strong capabilities in team-working, communication, collaboration within cross-functions, and delivering results

 

•     Readiness and engagement for continuous development and learning

 

•     Creative mindset and innovative skills
