About the team

Life & Health Business Management team is responsible for overseeing the inforce business. There are 4 teams including Claims, Technical Accounting, Actuarial Management, and Portfolio Management.

Life & Health Business Management team works collaboratively with our internal partners and client companies, sharing insights, building best practices and leveraging our global knowledge and expertise effectively. The team aims to actively manage the in-force business to deliver maximum shareholder value and to protect the L&H balance sheet.

 

About the role

  • Responsible for day-to-day delivering of the claims value chain to clients, e.g. providing the opinions on complex claim cases, giving the input for new product development, providing quality claims training & claims audit, and also overseeing the projects from claims perspective
  • Engage with and influence stakeholders across Swiss Re, including local cross functional teams, e.g. L&H Products, Underwriting, and Technical Accounting, and also Regional Claims team, to gather insights, facilitate alignment of deliverables and utilize available resources
  • Effectively manage Swiss Re claims liability through implementing appropriate clients and claims management strategy with the appropriate analysis done

  • Significant technical expertise on Life & Health Claims across market-relevant products with the recognition of capabilities in the market
  • Significant awareness of market and portfolio dynamics, including ability to anticipate and mitigate potential risks & opportunities

  • Numeracy & analytical capabilities to consider data, identify anomalies and use information to develop action plans

About you

Desirable experience and skills:

  • Formal qualification in medical, legal, or relevant fields with more than 3 years experiences in direct insurance companies or reinsurance companies on claims management
  • Client relationship management experience and soft skills to carry out these responsibilities
  • Training and presentation skills and experiences
  • Auditing experiences and reporting capabilities
  • Data analytical skills
  • Oral and written communication skills in English
