About the Role

Job Summary

Your main scope of work and responsibilities include

  • Effective and quality management of large and complex claims throughout their entire life cycle.
  • Maintain consistent and quality claims operation and turn-around time.
  • Work with other Business Management (BM) functions to ensure proper management of in-force business, including timely reporting, process improvement and client issues resolution.
  • Work with cross-functional team composed of client managers, underwriters and other functions for business origination, solution development, by creating value that differentiates Swiss Re.

 

Detailed Job Functions

  • Manage reported losses according to internal standards and guidelines, including managing claims files in SR systems. Support and work with our clients in managing critical claims issues, with the aim of achieving best outcome for both our clients and Swiss Re.
  • Work with other BM functions, to maintain claims and BM operations with consistency and quality, achieve expected turn-around time, and deliver BM value for client satisfaction.
  • Generate business insight from claims handling and portfolio review, to use it effectively in supporting business of our clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Build and develop market network and relationship with clients, including insurers, brokers and other claims service providers, in order to keep track of market development and client needs, and provide better services.
  • Build personal and company technical know-how in selected topics, and use it for client training, know-how sharing, and product/solution development.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in business plan execution, by delivering outcome according to priorities.
  • Participate in or manage internal projects and initiative as assigned.

  

About the Team

About you

  • Solid and hands-on P&C claims handling experiences, at least 7 years, with focus on Marine and/or Casualty (liability) business.
  • Good primary market know-how and network on P&C insurance business in China.
  • Collaborative, open-minded, agile, strong team player, as well as ability to work independently.
  • Good command of English (read, write, listen and speak)
  • Good presentation and communication skills, including satisfactory command of oral, listening writing capability in English and Mandarin.
  • Consultative selling style and analytical skills would be a plus.
  • Open-minded, resilient to changes and failure. Continuous learning and growing.
