About the team:

The Contracts Support Associate will support the Asia L&H Contracts team with drafting of traditional L&H reinsurance contracts – contracts based on standard templates, addendums to existing contracts and updation of SR systems.      


About the role:

  • Provide drafting support to multiple Asia markets (China and other Asia markets when required) Coordinate and communicate with cross functional team inputs into the treaty draft.
  • Maintain and update SR tools and systems tracking wording workflow. Provide treaty status updates to Client markets team in each market.
  • Promote best practice in contract process including monitoring the compliance process, and promote consistency in SR’s wording position across all L&H lines of business
  • Provide overview and report to global and local management
  • Support other Contracts Specialists/Contracts Support Associates in the Asia team whenever necessary
  • Participate in global projects whenever necessary


        About you:

  • Relevant professional experience of 2-3 years, drafting and reviewing legal contracts within any industry, preference will be given to (re)insurance industry.(Or excellent new graduates majored in Laws or Insurance)
  • Basic understanding of legal agreements and/or contracts law. Although it is not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates with legal training or law degree; comparable professional experience also seriously considered and professional designations a plus
  • Good communication, cross-cultural, problem solving, client focused and a good team player
  • Build (re)insurance business knowledge
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines across multiple markets
  • Attention to details and ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Confidence to engage courageously, with (external) clients and (internal) stakeholders
