About the role

  • As member of China P&C Client Solutions team, coordinate internal/external resource, response to market needs, and ultimately commercialize Swiss Re's solutions to our clients.
  • Build up connections with non-traditional partners including online-distributers, internet giants, tech companies and universities, etc., to better address client needs and market pain points, and to unleash the potential of innovative insurance solutions.
  • Closely work with product development team locally, define product features and monitor product development to make sure timely deliveries.
  • Closely monitor industry trends, including primary insurance market, technology, and insurtech areas.
  • Assist senior member to monitor pipelines, prepare reports and presentations.

  • The objective of the P&C client solutions team is to deliver holistic and integrated solutions to meet our client's needs and match consumer demand.  The team will be expected to deliver innovative or new solutions, thought leadership, and risk knowledge to both internal and external stakeholders in property and casualty.
  • As P&C Client Solutions manager, you will implement Swiss Re's solutions strategy in China and perform a diverse set of responsibilities in order to strongly position Swiss Re as a leader in the insurance innovation space, and connect to non-traditional partners.

About You

  • Successfully completed university degree, preferably in background of science or technology
  • Strong and proficiency analytical skills and can focus on details without losing track of the bigger picture, preferable programming skills such as SQL, VBA, Python, etc.
  • Innovative, showing a high degree of own initiative; strong interest in/motivation to learn about insurance/reinsurance; proven expertise to work independently and proactively
  • Ability to think out of the box with strong sense in finding opportunities across industries; approaches problems with curiosity and open-mindedness
  • Mature & self-confident; aptitude to express him-/herself effectively in one-on-one conversations and small groups
  • Team-player, willingness to contribute actively to the overall team spirit; ability to work with clients, business partners or senior colleagues
  • Capacity to readily adapt to a changing and dynamic environment; ability and enthusiasm to work in a global and multicultural environment, travel in different cities or countries if required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in oral and written English
