About The Role

"This position can be designated either Assistant Vice President or Vice President level. Level will be determined based on the candidate's qualification"


Reporting to the Head Pricing Innovation China, you will be a key member of the Pricing Innovation team with a focus on accessing new risk pools, improving our pricing techniques, and enhancing thought leadership in China. This team will also be responsible for the operational excellence and the compliance of internal standards of the pricing function in China

Major responsibilities include:

  • Work with R&D, Pricing and Client Markets teams to drive for delivery of new product solutions and access to new risk pools
  • Develop solid, clear and coherent framework for pricing of new health and mortality risks
  • Research on market trends, product development, market intelligence and regulatory directives to enhance pricing foundations and strengthen competitive position
  • Improve and optimize pricing technique and process
  • Review and update Terms of Trade for China
  • Support the development of governance framework on China pricing to achieve operational excellence and ensure compliance of internal standards


About The Team

  • The team consists of 5 members located in the Beijing office.


About You

  • Strong technical understanding of L&H re/insurance with an actuarial qualification
  • Creative mindset and innovative skills, open-mindedness
  • Collaborative with a strong team spirit
  • Analytical and conceptual skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, in both Chinese and English
  • Minimum of eight years experience in actuarial field
  • Experience in working with direct insurance a plus
