About the Role

Position objectives and position summary

  • Sales leader with responsibility for strengthening and managing some of the most important Life and Health client relationships in Division Asia.
  • Client team leader who drives and monetizes innovative and differentiating solutions based on full understanding of client needs and priorities, ensures top quality client strategy plan and its first-class execution, effectively manages renewals and deal opportunities, and handles internal and external communication related to origination and negotiation.
  • Main priorities are execution of the client's strategy plan; profitable growth from new business origination and active portfolio management leveraging and delivering Swiss Re's full cross-functional team capabilities; and develop entrenched client relationships with all the relevant functions and personnel.
  • Profit & Loss accountability for business of assigned client including planning and budgeting across functions.

    Main tasks/activities

  • Fully understand client motivation, needs, priorities, risk and capital drivers as well as products and distribution and align with Swiss Re’s deliverables in order to develop win-win solutions which leverage the full range of Swiss Re's capabilities.
  • Develop a client strategy plan and lead its implementation with the cross-functional client team.
  • Manage client team activities and interaction which includes, but is not limited to
  • client and internal communication;
  • negotiation and management of expectations;
  • facilitate interaction with and input by experts as applicable;
  • Prepare planning / budgeting in line with the client strategy plan.
  • Maintain coordinated approach with the client team.

    Representation activities:

  • Develop and maintain relevant professional network, both internally and externally.
  • Contribution to and support for C-suite and top level meetings.

About You

  • Education
  • University degree.
  • Professional Experience
  • Proven track-record as sales leader or other relevant functions such as underwriter or actuary.
  • At least 8-10 years' experience in complex Life & Health insurance / reinsurance business.
  • Marketing, Business Development, L&H Actuary professional qualification would be advantageous.
