About the team:

This is a regional team responsible for driving underwriting innovations and initiatives, operational governance, risk appetite and medical thought leadership in Asia. The team composes of members based in different locations across Asia, including Hong Kong, Beijing, Singapore, Seoul and Mumbai. Our mission is to act as the underwriting center of excellence, supporting the business strategy by setting and implementing forward-looking underwriting philosophy, providing core risk knowledge and maintaining governance within the Asia underwriting community.

About the role:

1. Liaise with L&H insurance customers to understand the business priorities and identify the opportunities of underwriting innovation;

2. Support the development of innovative underwriting framework to improve the efficiency and quality, with application of data and algorithm targeting to client needs. Participate in research & development and pilots of underwriting risk control products, identify areas of optimization and enhancement;

3. Work closely with the cross-functional team and support the execution of underwriting solutions

About you:

1. Bachelor degree or above in medicine, biostatistics, preventive medicine, etc.;

2. Strong analytical, communication and collaboration skills with innovation mindset;

3. Able to multi-task and deliver under tight timeline;

4. Experience in insurance product design, setting underwriting rules, and statistical analysis of underwriting & claims operations data is preferred;

5. Able to write product documentation , proficient in product requirements analysis, design skills, and in-depth understanding of the interaction design process;

6. Curious, enthusiastic, with keen interest in understanding the frontier of technology and solutions to improve user experience, and the application of medical big data and medical AI technology in the insurance industry.
