About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead and manage the Life products Compliance activities for iptiQ Americas. This is a Vice President level role reporting directly to the Head of Compliance iptiQ Americas, your main responsibilities will be:

 

  • Supporting delivery of the iptiQ Americas Compliance strategy by contributing to the development and implementation of Annual Compliance Plans within the business
  • Developing and ensuring appropriate implementation of a robust risk-based Compliance Program for the life and health product business model including maintenance of Compliance Risk frameworks in coordination with Group Compliance
  • Provide timely, practical high-quality compliance advice across the business value chain
  • Lead the Regulatory Change process
  • Support the development of compliant products, services and propositions in close interaction with business functions
  • Providing guidance on oversight of distributors and outsourced service providers as part of the oversight framework and conducting specific compliance oversight as required
  • Providing relevant reporting to regulatory authorities, as appropriate
  • Additionally, you will support Group Compliance in the carrying out of Compliance assurance and monitoring activities for the iptiQ Americas business.

iptiQ Compliance is multi-jurisdictional team supporting EMEA, APAC and US businesses and we continue to grow as our business expands. About You

 

  • (pre-requisite) Compliance professional with 8+ years' experience in the individual consumer Life insurance market (preferably with experience in an agency environment).
  • Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks related to Data Protection, Conduct/Sales Practice Risk, Fraud Risk and Complaints Handling in respect of consumer retail insurance products
  • Qualifications in Compliance or Risk management subjects preferred,
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and work in cross functional teams;
  • Ability to take the initiative and accountability in an entrepreneurial environment whilst maintaining appropriate balance between "enabling" and "assurance"
  • Experience in state and federal (if applicable) legislative and regulatory analysis, monitoring, tracking and research. Experience with Regulatory Change Management a plus
  • Experience working with carriers that engage in a fully digital environment a plus
  • Exposure to regulators and/or supporting regulator activities
  • Ability to prepare and/or present reports to senior management
  • Strong risk assessment and articulation capabilities
