About the Role

  • Responsible for driving inorganic growth of iptiQ's America's business in line with iptiQ's strategy. M&A for iptiQ will cover insurance carriers, distributors, affinity organizations, MGAs, platforms, and other non-traditional insurance channels
  • Responsible for day to day management of M&A transactions, including due diligence, valuation, structuring and execution along with Swiss Re experts in areas, such as pricing, marketing, technology, HR, operations and legal
  • Responsible for the formulation and implementation origination and transaction plan
  • Play a leadership role in the origination of potential acquisitions, and are expected to identify transaction opportunities, develop relationships with potential counterparts and create transaction execution plans
  • Engage with emerging and established insurance and InsurTech players that could provide key capabilities that are required for iptiQ and its partners
  • Act as a key contract person and counterpart to professionals from leading global investment banks, law firms, venture capitalists and financial services companies, as well as with Swiss Re and iptiQ stakeholders


About the Team


The iptiQ Origination and Structuring team is responsible for identifying, evaluating and executing acquisitions/investments in insurance in the US, European and Asian markets and in-line with the iptiQ M&A strategy



About You

  • Substantial experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, or the in-house Business Development / Mergers & Acquisitions team of a leading financial institution
  • M&A execution experience is required - Strong transaction execution skills with ability to work independently and proactively on multiple assignments and to strict deadlines
  • Track record of transaction identification and origination
  • Experience in financial modelling and valuation methodology
  • Deep experience in US market with an established network with investment banks, VCs, PEs and insurance carriers, brokers, and affinity players
  • Strong familiarity with the US InsurTech market, including recent transactions, strategies and valuation developments
  • Good knowledge of US insurance market including the fundamentals of US GAAP/stat accounting, regulation, tax, investments and capital
  • MBA or Masters' in Finance, Economics or similar quantitative discipline desirable
  • Analytical rigor, reliable, accurate and with attention to detail
