About the role

  • As Product Design Manager in the Product and Proposition team, you’ll provide leadership, direction, and mentorship for a team of Product Designers and User Experience Researchers; lead design thinking, product thinking, and design strategy across our Life and Health insurance products. We’re looking for an outstanding Product Design Manager, that can help strengthen a team of user experience experts, build a customer-centric culture, advocate for our users at all levels, and lead sophisticated industry challenges.
  • You’ll set the vision for Product Design at iptiQ Americas, create a roadmap, gain support from Product Management, engineering, and business leaders, and continuously evolve the vision. This leader will evangelize design across the company, clearly articulate the value of design, and integrate design thinking principles into the way we build products.


  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of a Product Designers and User Experience Researchers; maintain creative and design quality across the entire team.
  • Deliver a user experience vision, create a concrete plan, evolve the plan overtime, and track/share overall progress to reaching our UX goals.
  • Design experiences for multiple channels including partners/agents, customers, and internal employees.
  • Cultivate a product and design culture that puts our users and customers in the center of why we create, set new standards for how we execute, and constantly improves the way the team works.
  • Define UX KPI’s, constantly measure, bring creative and practical ideas to the table to improve conversion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members including, product managers, engineers, and business subject matter experts to execute design solutions that deliver on company goals
  • Manage the intake, triage, and prioritization of projects and appropriately align resources to the best opportunities that will help us achieve our business and user goals.
  • Ensure compliance of product features to requirements including that of information security, regulation, and risk management.

About You

Below are some important capabilities and skills that will enhance your ability to succeed.


  • 5-7 years working experience in UX / Product Design in an e-commerce environment (experience in life insurance a plus but not required)
  • Bachelor or master’s degree in a human factor’s information design (or equivalent work experience)
  • Strong conceptual thinking combined with excellent problem-solving capabilities and an innovative approach
  • Expertise in standard product design tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Strong project management skills with high degree of comfort managing multiple projects and multiple stakeholders
  • Experience using methodologies such as Agile, Design Thinking, Lean UX, and Lean Startup.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate opportunities, design processes, ideas, and solutions to business teams, clients, and development team.
  • Comfort working in a start-up style environment where the pace is fast the path is not always linear or clear
