About the role

 

Seeking an experienced Sales Manager to inspire exceptional performance by directly managing team of insurance sales agents. The Sales Manager will be part of the distribution solutions team and report to the Head Sales Solutions.

In this role, you will manage a team of 20 call center agents and own their individual and team-level performance. You will motivate and drive agents to meet and exceed key performance metrics; coach the team with a goal of continuous improvement; ensure compliance and Q/A standards are met through structured 1:1s; work with the Head Sales Solutions to identify opportunities to improve customer conversion and sales team performance.

 

 

About You

The Sales Manager is a critical role within our organization because it is the link between our life insurance customers, agents and partners. You will be managing our sales agents, who set the first impression for customers on their life insurance purchasing journey. Below are some important capabilities and skills that will enhance your ability to succeed.

 

  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as licensed life & health agent
  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience managing and coaching licensed life & health agents in a call-center environment
  • Natural sales mindset with a demonstrated track record of success
  • Exceptional communication and people skills to motivate the team and deliver coaching effectively 
  • Data-driven and curious: like to learn, ask questions and importantly leverage data to make smart, quick decisions
  • Knowledge of insurance marketing, specifically life insurance to the middle market
  • Knowledge of salesforce.com crm and five9 telephony
  • Honesty and integrity – you do not cut corners ethically and can be trusted to do the right thing for clients and for the team
