About the role

Seeking an experienced senior agent appointment manager with a strong L&H background to support iptiQ's overall agent appointment process. As a part of a start-up, you will be in a very exciting position to craft the strategy of the agent appointment process. This role is on our Distribution Solutions team, reporting to the Head of Agent Services. You will also collaborate closely with colleagues across the organization including Onboarding, Operations, Technology, Legal and Compliance.

As part of this role, you will:

  • Drive the strategic direction of the appointment, including contracting, renewals and termination, function within iptiQ
  • Develop a strategic plan and implementation roadmap with the goal of continuous improvement of the overall agent appointment process
  • Establish key performance indicators, supervise and track against those key metrics
  • Perform competitor benchmark analysis to determine opportunity areas and deliver on opportunities
  • Streamline overall processes and work closely with tech and data team to identify and implement areas of improvement
  • Establish standard operating procedures on updated processes
  • Collaborate with iptiQ onboarding to serve as the initial iptiQ appointment representative on distribution partner facing calls
  • Support key distribution partners in contracting, appointment, renewal and termination requests
  • Coordinate third party service providers, including Salesforce appointment system, background check provider and document management contracting vendor that support appointment process and commission process.
  • Maintain agent appointment database and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for appointments, terminations and renewals

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in the contracting and appointment process for the insurance industry (Individual Life and Health) – P&C expertise a plus
  • Consistent track record of building up and improving agent appointment process
  • Ability to build strategic business plans to accomplish set goals
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Strong analytical skills with understanding of SQL and other database tools to help analyze data
  • Positive relationship building, organizational and process leadership skills
  • Strong working knowledge of regulatory requirements for agent appointments, renewals, terminations and commissions
  • Solid understanding of 'best-in-class' agent appointment, renewal, termination procedures
  • Understanding of commission processing and familiarity with commission resolution processes
