About the Role

 

iptiQ has openings for energetic software architecture professionals to join us in our Boston, MA office. We are looking for individuals with a deep understanding of technology, and experience mapping strategic business requirements into a framework that guides platform development. Key Responsibilities

 

  • You are self-starter, enjoy challenging problems, and continuously improving yourself and others around you by constantly challenging the status-quo
  • You will be part of a Scrum team doing full-stack design and development to deliver high quality SaaS solutions
  • You will be working with business team members to distil high level requirements
  • You will provide high level solution documents including diagrams, position documents and feature breakdowns.
  • You will deliver proof-of-concept solutions to validate the general approach.
  • You will deliver quality recommendations with minimal guidance
  • You will lead group technical design sessions along with other Sr. Engineers and Architects
  • You will engage and work with peer groups (Operations, Product, Support) to ensure that product implementation and delivered quality are high.
  • You will be an advocate for improvement in quality processes including design and platform reviews.
  • You will lead complex technical projects that represent cross-cutting, multi-vendor and/or complex business concerns.
  • You will lead research and evaluation of new technologies and patterns.

 

About You

 

  • BS in Computer Science / related field or equivalent experience.
  • 8 years of experience in an architecture related position
  • Expertise in one or more of the following languages / runtimes: Java (Preferred), Node, React, Python, or similar language.
  • Expertise with one or more of the following data storage technologies: Relational or NOSQL technology.
  • Expertise in one or more of the following: ESB/API Gateways, Workflow Engines, Rules Engines, Authentication/Authorization
  • Experience with a Scrum and Agile based environment
  • Experience with large scale system design using microservices and cloud technology
  • Experience with eliciting system requirements working alongside business owners
  • Experience with multi-vendor integration and reliability design patterns
  • Experience designing software with minimal guidance and understand when to escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Experience with containerization technologies, including: Docker, Kubernetes
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies, including: Azure, AWS
