About the Role 


iptiQ has openings for energetic expert Site Reliability Engineers to join us in our Boston, MA office.  We are looking for motivated individuals who have a passion to improve the performance and availability of our platform. Your skills are critical as we scale our business. Your understanding of distributed systems and how to tune and harden them are important to us and will make a big difference to our customers. Ultimately, your knowledge, best practices, and code will be part of systems within iptiQ's platform which is why we are searching for only the best and brightest software engineers to join our ranks.  If you think you fit the bill, then apply now!  


Key Responsibilities  

  • Site reliability engineer with experience in the specialty for 5+ years, proven track of implementing solutions/services for IT and support teams 

  • Should have an engineering mindset, to be able to build the framework with the repeatable result, and have an understanding of how to convert “FIX” to automated recovery 

  • Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in developing solutions for complex custom applications in Java, Angular 

  • An operational background or experience will help add value to the role as you bridge between the Dev team and the Ops team 

  • Must demonstrate the ability to enhance application availability, scalability, reliability, and performance in a microservice architecture. 

  • Must have experience in identifying areas for improvement including performance tuning, infra improvements, better monitoring and pro-active alerting, reducing the gap between incidents, triage, and their resolution. 

  • Experience guiding development teams, in high availability, high performance, and cloud-native environment 

  • Have a good understanding of containerization concepts Docker 

  • Have a good understanding and building solutions on Linux OS  

  • Demonstrate familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment concepts along-with necessary tools like GIT, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins 

  • Experience in working with Azure cloud services 

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical issues 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across various stakeholder in the organization 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities 

About You 


  • BS in Computer Science / Information Technology / related field or equivalent experience. 

  • Experience with Azure cloud and multiple Azure services is required, including but not limited to AKS, Virtual Machines, Resource Manager, Azure DevOps, Container Registry. 

  • Experience in Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm 

  • Experience in building complex frameworks for infrastructure and application provisioning. 

  • Strong Linux and Java troubleshooting skills  

  • Java, Python, GO and related technologies, frameworks  

  • Experience with Azure Monitoring or at least Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic 

  • Working with distributed systems and with 24x7 Production Services/environments. 

  • Cloud Architecture and Operations including migration, resilience, maintainability, and cost-efficiency  

  • CI/CD and SCM tools such as GIT, Maven, Jenkins, Sonar, Artifactory, Ansible
