About the Role 

 

iptiQ has openings for energetic expert Site Reliability Engineers to join us in our Boston, MA office.  We are looking for motivated individuals who have a passion to improve the performance and availability of our platform. Your skills are critical as we scale our business. Your understanding of distributed systems and how to tune and harden them are important to us and will make a big difference to our customers. Ultimately, your knowledge, best practices, and code will be part of systems within iptiQ's platform which is why we are searching for only the best and brightest site reliability engineers to join our ranks.  If you think you fit the bill, then apply now!  

 

Key Responsibilities  

 

  • You are self-starter, enjoy challenging problems, and continuously improving yourself and others around you by constantly challenging the status-quo. 

  • You will be part of a Scrum team performing mixture of performance analysis, site reliability, and full-stack development to improve our SaaS solutions. 

  • You will be leading investigations of site reliability and performance issues. 

  • You will implement automated, repeatable processes to improve site reliability and performance. 

  • You will provide recommendations to developers in order to improve site performance and reliability and review the changes to ensure that they meet the expected criteria. 

  • You will engage with developers, operations, and support to ensure that the quality and reliability of the code / infrastructure in production is high. 

  • You will recommend and lead changes to infrastructure that improve reliability and performance of our SaaS solutions. 

 

About You

 

  • BS in Computer Science / Information Technology / related field or equivalent experience. 

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in the specialty. 

  • Experience with Azure cloud and multiple Azure services is required, including but not limited to AKS, Virtual Machines, Resource Manager, Azure DevOps, Container Registry. 

  • Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm 

  • Experience building frameworks for infrastructure and application provisioning. 

  • Expertise in Linux and Java troubleshooting skills  

  • Experience with Java, Python, GO and related technologies, frameworks  

  • Experience with Azure Monitoring or at least Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic 

  • Working with distributed systems and with 24x7 Production Services/environments. 

  • An operational background or experience will add value to the role as you bridge between the Dev team and the Ops team 

  • Expertise in application availability, scalability, reliability, and performance in a microservice architecture. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across various stakeholder in the organization 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities
