Accountant in General Ledger Team

About the Team
General Ledger Accounting Services team is responsible for supporting European and American entities of Swiss Re Group according to internal guidelines, IFRS and local accounting policies and tax requirements. As a member of the team, you support legal entity with operational and closing activities. You seek possibilities to further develop, streamline and improve the team's delivery processes and collaboration with our partners.
About the Role

You will be primarily working with our Senior Accountants responsible for closing activities, audits and cooperate with the entire team with relevant requests.
Accounting tasks
In your role you will support/assist with the following tasks:
• Closing activities
• Quarterly preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
• Support of external & internal audit (data delivery, explanation of business cases)
• Posting vouchers from stakeholders, preparing and running consistency checks
Project tasks:
• Assisting and supporting on assigned projects
• Supporting the discussions, managing stakeholder expectations as well as assisting with the projects in the most efficient and beneficial direction
• Proactively engaged, including launching new ideas and providing suggestions to overcome difficulties
About You
We are looking for an engaged and motivated teammate with good communication skills.
Essentials:
• University degree in the area of Finance, Accounting or Economics
• Relevant experience as a Financial accountant or similar is a plus
• Knowledge of basics in accounting
• Fluent English written and spoken
• Advanced level on Microsoft Office (Excel – Pivot Tables, Word and PowerPoint)
• Great social and communication skills
• Flexible working attitude, being able to easily adapt to changing environment and priorities
Nice to haves:
• SAP experience is an advantage

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 1300 and EUR 2100 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
