About the Role
General Ledger Accounting Services team is responsible for support of European, Asian and American entities within Swiss Re Group in accordance with internal guidelines, US GAAP, IFRS and local accounting standards. As a member of the team, you perform accounting, closing and reporting activities. You seek possibilities to further develop, streamline and improve the team's delivery processes and collaboration with our partners.
Main customers: Group Finance, Tax, Internal & External Audit
Key Tasks:

Provide timely and accurate general ledger accounting services according to internal guidelines, regulatory and tax requirements

Perform quarterly closing activities for defined entities

Financial controlling with focus on group requirements (Consistency checks, SAP Health checks and balance sheet reconciliations for the accounts under team ownership)

Provide accurate financial information to the management and financial reporting functions
-
Ensure compliance with the risk & control framework and the audit requirements
-
Support audit activities and prepare requested information

Participate and support Finance related projects and perform ad hoc tasks as required

Identify and evaluate process improvement possibilities
About You

2 years of working experience in accounting / financial reporting
-
Qualification or University degree in Economics / Accounting / Business Administration

Adherence to deadlines and ability to work on own initiative

Advanced level of Microsoft Office
-
Experience with SAP is an advantage
-
Good teammate with communication skills
-
Proficient English language is a must
-
Engaged and motivated approach to work
