About the Role

We are looking for a collaborative Automation Developer to join our iptiQ Life & Health Claims and Underwriting Team in Bratislava. Your core competences will involve design, specification, development, testing and continuous improvement of the underwriting rules, working in a low-code environment.

Underwriting and Claims automation is essential for us. Why? The more rules that we automate, the more we can help our customers receive an instant underwriting decision in a digital world. This ensures easier access to insurance for everyone.

Our Automation Development Team cooperates in an agile manner, using sprint methodology and tools like JIRA and Confluence that keep our daily duties organized and well documented. Mutual support and help are strong elements of our team culture. Based on our current needs, we combine working from the office with working from home.

Join us and become a member of a dedicated growing Team progressing constantly with each iteration.

You will make an impact through:

•    Upgrading the application forms as per specification documents.
•    Building efficient Life & Health automated rules via visual editor and/or occasional JavaScript coding.
•    Testing the development quality by conducting unit and scenario testing.
•    Releasing the final rulebase for IT implementation.
•    Producing clear specification documents.
•    Cooperating with Claims & Underwriting specialists around EMEA to discuss, visualize and design requirements.
•    Working with a brand-new underwriting data tool to identify, analyze and improve automatization and rule performance.

About You

•    You demonstrate curiosity and strong focus on self-development & up-skilling.
•    You are experienced in agile work methods.
•    You take ownership of your work, enjoy working independently and share your knowledge with others.
•    You have strong analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail.
•    You feel confident in both spoken and written English (Upper Intermediate level B2 is required).

Useful technical experience:

•    Proficiency in data analysis.
•    Knowledge of JavaScript and Java is an advantage.
•    Experience in producing technical specifications or process flows.
•    Ability to apply some of the advanced features of Word/Excel/JIRA.
•    Good knowledge of SDLC and Agile Methodology is preferred.
