About the team:

You will join a team of locally based underwriting and claims experts who will be responsible for supporting several markets across the EMEA region on the business side, including case assessment and various client needs. You will work closely with regional and cross-functional stakeholders.


About the role:

Being there at the moment a client needs is the reason iptiQ exists and the Claims Assessor role involves direct interactions with our clients at their time of need and when they are most vulnerable. As a Claims Assessor based in Bratislava you will support all the activities of our Claims teams based in the major cities across Europe. Following a period of intensive training, you will use your experience and know how, alongside our world leading support tools and medical experts, to make recommendations on individual Claims. As your skills grow, you will also participate in other services which we provide to our clients, including reporting, product development, training material preparation, and translation, subject to language skills.


Once fully competent, you will be responsible for dealing with the following:

  • Daily review and monitoring and completion of the claims work load
  • Proactively manage and adjudicate life and health claims, considering both medical, financial and title evidence.
  • Analyse monthly claims data and preparation of data slides for key stakeholders.
  • Monitor and audit the performance of 3rd party claims service providers.
  • Provide technical input and sign off on product design and customer literature
  • Preparation for client facing activities, such as trainings and audits
  • Support for translation of our claims and underwriting related documents and tools such as Life Guide
  • Show active drive and passion for our customer centric culture


About you:

  • L&H insurance/reinsurance experience with claims or underwriting skills would be a real advantage, but we are open to consider other relevant backgrounds such as medical knowledge (e.g. nurse, physiotherapist, health professional in general) or as a financial specialist
  • Advanced in English and at least one other European language (Dutch preferred)
  • Analytical and critical thinking
  • Consistently demonstrates curiosity, energy and interest in learning new skills.
  • Flexible (able to juggle the diverse demands of multiple stakeholders)
    Good communication skills
  • Team player: share knowledge and information with others
  • Empathetic approach to customers

Minimum base salary for this job from 1000 EUR gross/month/full time. Our offer to you may be higher based on your skills and experience and will include additional rewards and benefits.
