About the role
We are looking for an Employment Legal Counsel to provide employment law advice primarily on Slovak employment matters with some EMEA matters as well.


Key responsibilities include:
• Provide timely, high quality legal advice on employee matters and clearly articulating legal risks and opportunities;
• Advise HR, and other partners on all kind of employment law matters;
• Support HR in their compliance with local law, regulations and internal requirements, including the establishment and maintenance of efficient legal processes and relationships with local bodies and associations;
• Prepare presentations and legal analysis on employment / labour law topics;
• Drafting, review and negotiation of a wide range of HR related agreements and legal documents.


About the team
As Employment Legal Counsel you will report to the Head Employment Advisory EMEA in Switzerland, and will be required to work closely with other Employment Legal Counsels in other countries as well as Legal & Compliance colleagues in Slovakia and abroad. You should be comfortable working in a decentralised organisational structure covering multiple jurisdictions, which will require significant organisational, teamwork and influencing skills to achieve success.

About You
Your qualifications and experiences:
• You have a professional qualification to practice law / you are a qualified attorney in Slovakia;
• You worked for a minimum of 5 years in a law firm or as an in-house counsel;
• You have a very strong background in employment / labour law in Slovakia; some practice outside Slovakia would be a plus;
• You are competent and highly knowledgeable in drafting, reviewing and negotiating all kind of HR related documents;
• You are excellent in translating employment law requirements into business and implementing policies and processes to help business to mitigate meaningful legal risks;
• You are able to run multiple projects or cases in parallel, have strong project and process management skills and be able to prioritize and organize;


Your general skills and values:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to handle the needs and expectations of clients and other internal or external partners;
• Agile, flexible, open-minded, hands on and can-do approach even in complex situations with tight deadlines, conflicting pressures and ambiguous or changing circumstances;
• Analytical, pragmatic, solution-oriented;
• Self-starter, ability to work independently but are also a very reliable teammate; team spirit, collaboration;
• Accountable, take responsibility and ownership
• Fluent in Slovak and English; additional languages are a plus.

Minimum base salary for this job from 2500 EUR gross/month/full time. Our offer to you may be higher based on your skills and experience and will include additional rewards and benefits.
