About the Team
General Ledger Accounting Services (GLAS) team is responsible for non-techincal accounting of global scope of entities within Swiss Re Group in accordance with the internal guidelines, Group and local accounting policies and tax requirements. As a member of the team, you support the team in driving change requests and assigned projects. You seek possibilities to further develop, streamline and improve the team's delivery processes and collaboration with our key stakeholders.
About the Role
Main responsibilities:
Join General Ledger Accounting Services team as an Finance & Accounting Operations Coordinator and take the lead in driving key initiatives to enhance system processes, automation, and change management. You'll oversee the implementation of new requirements and apply your finance and accounting expertise to ensure compliance with Swiss Re Group guidelines, maintain data quality, and streamline operations.

You will also:
• Coordinate and participate in cross-functional projects in area of non-technical accounting
• Review and identify improvement opportunities for existing processes and controls, define roles and responsibilities
• Ensure assigned accounting processes are reported accurately with ad hoc coordination with respective stakeholders, as needed
• Prepare accounting memos and materiality assessment
• Coordinate meetings with major internal stakeholders and GLAS team
• Communicate with external and internal auditor on Group audit queries
• Communicate with the reporting teams and business
• Assist non-technical accounting team with business-as-usual activities or ad hoc tasks in capacity of an advisor
• Participate in cross-functional projects
About You
We are looking for an engaged and motivated teammate with good communication skills.
Essentials:
• 4+ years proven experience as a Financial accountant or similar
• Experience with implementing projects and/or change management
• Stakeholder management, written & oral communication and presentations, with focus on accounting or reporting advisory and analysis
• Manages multiple priorities and competing demands. Acts resourcefully to ensure that work is completed within specified time and quality targets
• Ability to work independently, in a target-oriented environment
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Nice to have:
• SAP experience is an advantage
For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 1,800 and EUR 2,900 per month (for a full-time role).
The specific salary offered considers:
• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
• the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience. In the situation where you significantly exceed the requirements, the offered salary may be above the advertised range.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
