Finance Governance Manager
As a Finance Governance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting our internal customers to better understand risks and strengthen controls over the end-to-end financial reporting value chain. This role will give you an excellent overview of and insight into the workings of the Finance and Reserving Functions as well as our business in general. You will also interact frequently with Internal Risk Management and internal or external auditors to understand and mitigate the company's financial reporting risks and their implications on day-to-day operations.
About the Role
Besides the required financial acumen and understanding of risk, communication plays a fundamental role for successfully delivering our day-to-day work. You will collaborate across different seniority levels with various internal customers, mostly within Finance and Reserving but also with further critical areas such as Claims, Operations or Underwriting. This provides you with a great platform to have an impact and strengthen your profile. Essential for your success is furthermore your personal ability to create an alignment on sometimes diverging interests between a diverse group of stakeholders.
You will also need to be pragmatic. Governance over financial reporting is always striving for a zero-tolerance environment but we also must consider our impact on the business and find solutions which address governance requirements in a business-friendly way. We understand our Governance role as hands-on delivery rather than an advisory on the side line.
Main responsibilities
:
• You are going to prepare and be responsible for the control and process framework documentation for the financial reporting process in Swiss Re systems and work on improvements of the internal control and process framework
• You will oversee and advise on Finance Corporate Solutions' open issues, Operational Incident reporting, and prepare summary explanations for the management

About the Team
