About the role

Become a part of a growing and dynamic results-oriented team within our established firm. iptiQ is a start-up unit, established to provide innovative protection solutions via business-to-business-to-consumer models. You are embedded in the financial reporting team of our internal start-up in Bratislava and build up our business in the Asia Pacific region.


We are a team of 8 – yourself, your manager and two colleagues in Bratislava, the CFO iptiQ Asia Pacific and another three colleagues in different Asia Pacific locations. We are a team in which each one of us is an expert in our fields and takes full responsibility for an entire process. There is no difference between a colleague in Bratislava, Hong Kong, Shanghai or Sydney.

You will:
•    Prepare financial plans
•    Analyse the performance of our start-up business in APAC
•    Propose ideas for improvements
•    Ensure accurate and forward-looking reporting of our legal entities. 
•    Jointly with the colleagues locally, supervise our outsourcing provider for accounting and tax services. 
•    Check compliance of the results prepared by the outsourcing provider with Swiss Re's accounting policies and standards and with local regulations. 
•    Ensure good governance, coordinate the execution of new financial platforms and improve the processes on the entity.
•    Cooperate with auditors and provide required information. 
•    Seek the advice of central finance units. 
•    Ad hoc tasks required. 


About the Team

The Finance Accounting & Reporting iptiQ team in Bratislava is responsible for the quarterly financial closing for US GAAP, EVM and our statutory valuations for our legal entities.
In addition, the team also contributes to the financial planning and analysis of the entities, providing quality management information for reporting and decision making, both historic and forward-looking projections. We also contribute to a number of development projects.


About You    

You have: 
•    Experience of 5+ years in insurance finance, preferably in financial planning and analysis
•    Audit experience is a definite advantage
•    Bachelor´s degree in Accounting, Finance or Computer Science
•    Good spoken and written English 
•    Excellent command in Microsoft Excel, Python is a plus
•    Patience and willingness to go above and beyond. 


Minimum base salary for this job from 1500 EUR gross/month/full time. Our offer to you may be higher based on your skills and experience and will include additional rewards and benefits.
