IT Business Analyst (Actuarial Systems) contract for 2 years

About the Team

Our team "Actuarial Systems P&C" consists of business analysts and application engineers and we are responsible for in-house built applications related to reserving and actuarial analysis. Our main customer is the global actuarial community within the company. We are embedded in the Finance IT subledger ecosystem.

We are looking for an agile, pro-active and curious IT Business Analyst who wants to take an important role in supporting our team.

We are based in Bratislava.

 

About the Role

Objective of the Project is to backfill and support internal Swiss Re resources within Finance IT Closing and Reserving Unit.

You will be responsible for the:

  • maintenance and operation support of the systems.
  • communication with international user community.
  • providing regular reports and ad-hoc analysis (incl. data mining).
  • analysis of the requirements for minor changes in close cooperation with business experts and application engineers.
  • analytical work on sets of financial transactions.

 

About You

  • University degree (or similar) in Business Administration or Economics with good mathematical understanding, or Mathematics or Natural Sciences with basic business understanding, Alternatively higher professional education (information management or similar)
  • Actuarial background or experience in insurance/reinsurance, actuarial or IT project work is an asset
  • Knowledge in MS Office, Excel above all, ideally with VBA knowledge and SQL
  • Strong analytical skills and the passion to work with data
  • Good communication skills
  • English is a must

Minimum base salary for this job from 1700 EUR gross/month/full time. Our offer to you may be higher based on your skills and experience and will include additional rewards and benefits.
