About The Role
In your role you will contribute to Swiss Re's healthy and transparent risk culture where everyone engages in continuous risk accountability activities.
As a Lead Engineer, your main goal is to promote a culture of high-quality software development. You'll also act as an ambassador for the Product Area 'Research & Sustainability', working closely with the Product & Delivery Lead to bring the technical vision to life.
Responsibilities

You'll oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects, making sure they're completed on time, within budget, and with the expected quality.
- As a technical expert, you'll make key decisions on architecture, design, and implementation of complex systems. You'll also participate in hands-on development, designing and developing new features and products that meet user needs and business goals. Ensuring the highest standards of code quality through regular code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration will be part of your role.
- Collaboration is key, so you'll work closely with the data analytics engineer and cross-functional teams, including product owners, application engineers and other stakeholders, to define project requirements and deliverables. You'll stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, fostering a culture of innovation within the team. Additionally, you'll address and resolve technical issues, ensuring the stability and performance of the software, and maintain comprehensive documentation of technical specifications, project plans, and progress reports.
