Working within the Learning and Development team you will be part of a huge and fundamental change on how our employees learn and experience learning.


As an L&D Consultant, you will act as a learning professional, consulting, curating and designing meaningful and relevant learning content specifically with a focus on digital learning to satisfy business growth and effective development of Swiss Re employees.

You will also collaborate closely with OPD (Organisational People Development) colleagues to identify core business and learning needs of the organization and create or curate together. As a learning consultant you will need to be able to provide deep learning expertise including advising on learning methodologies and solutions as well as an understanding of the learning experience and principals of adult learning, be able to advise the business in digital learning space and to give them the knowledge and expertise on industries and what can give them a competitive advantage. You will also be acting as a change agent in order to sell the concept of digital learning to your partners.

You will need to have an in depth knowledge of how to curate & create content e.g. digitally using infographics, interactive PDF’s, modern forms of e-learning, video learning or other means of learning content. You will not only need to collaborate with internal SME's but also with learning instructional & multi-media designers to translate technical know-how into state of the art and commercial learning solutions.

Key Tasks
• Together with OPD colleagues secure a deep understanding of core strategic objectives, requirements and challenges
• Provide detailed learning needs analysis when required to the business, identify and summarize competency gaps and what learning interventions can enable the closing of these gaps
• Budget and steer training initiatives in the area of Leadership Development, Sales, Professional, Emerging Talent or Technical Training
• Curate content in line with the market and industry sector as well as be able to apply new and modern learning methods on a continuous basis
• Design and develop new (in-house) offerings and training materials in partnership with internal expertise from the business, learning team or/and leadership development team and roll out of these programs
• Develop and run training pilots and adjust training if appropriate
• Define along with the OPD colleagues & business, challenging and effective metrics for the development initiatives to ensure strategic objectives are met
• By exception deliver training if expertise and work-mix allows
• Prepare and run feedback sessions with trainers in coordination with OPD Specialists
• Partner for design, delivery and support for global program rollouts

About You

Learning & Development Mastery
• 7 to10 years of experience in Learning & Development, ideally complemented by experience in business consulting
• Subject Matter Expertise in digitisation of learning, Artificial Intelligence and a range of Learning/Knowledge IT platforms and authoring tools
• Typically with a University degree or equivalent in Business Administration / Economics / Human Resources /Information Technology
• Profound knowledge of HR and Organization & People Development products, processes and practices
• Solid IT user skills (MS office/Lotus Notes/SAP)
Business Mastery
• Deep knowledge of the Financial Services industry and key drivers of success preferred
• Speak the financial and operative language of the business.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English
• Experienced working in an integrated and rapidly changing environment with the business' agenda and including various business partners

Minimum base salary for this job from 2500 EUR gross/month/full time. Our offer to you may be higher based on your skills and experience and will include additional rewards and benefits.
