About the role

We are looking for an experience Scrum Master who will support our teams and individuals in adopting and improving agile methods and practices such as SAFe, scrum and Kanban. In your role as a Scrum Master you would:

  • Help everyone understand and embrace scrum values and principles
  • Help to define and constantly improve squad rules
  • Facilitate scrum ceremonies (daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective)
  • Inspire productive and positive atmosphere between the scrum team and product owner
  • Improve processes and optimizes value flow
  • Identify and remove impediments
  • Ensure transparency and visibility within the squad
  • Monitor and reports agreed KPIs
  • Provide root cause analysis to improve the effectiveness of the squad
  • Coach and mentor the squad and the product owner
  • Resolve conflicts and Improve communication in & outside of the squad
  • Diagnose team challenges and provide suggestions for improvement
  • Raise impediments that cannot be resolved by the sprint team
  • And on an organization level you would:
  • Help accelerate agile adoption
  • Work closely with other scrum masters and the leadership team
  • Provide specific agile training as appropriate (depends on level of experience)
  • Ensure that we continuously improve and evolve our agile processes
  • Drive continuous improvement to create higher performing program/organizations and teams


About the team

With more than USD 150 bn of assets under management, Swiss Re Asset Management is responsible for the management of assets generated through the core insurance and reinsurance business. As part of transformation to agile, AM IT implemented new operating model. Team function in squads where each squad has Product Owner and Scrum Master. AM in Bratislava has 100+ employees out of which 40+ work for AM IT.


About you

You have a proven track record of being a scrum master or agile coach for multiple teams. You are self-motivated, positive person, able to bring together different personalities in order to build a strong team.


  • You should be open to work with both, project/product managers as well as software developers and business analysts. You should strive to share your experience on agile processes and team management and support us in implementing Scrum within our teams.
  • Master's degree
  • Experience as scrum master for 2-5 years (Experience as a scrum master of project teams is an advantage)
  • Financial Markets area background or IT background is advantage
  • Very good understanding of Agile concepts including Scrum, Kanban and Product Ownership, Agile Scaling (SAFe)
  • Ability to be the agile leader for the squad, focusing on best-practices and principles
  • Excellent verbal and written English
  • Innovative, change driven and collaborative in nature
  • High degree of flexibility, independent and dedicated working style
  • Willing to travel (around 10%)
  • Able to work on multiple and conflicting priorities

Minimum base salary for this job from 1700 EUR gross/month/full time. Our offer to you may be higher based on your skills and experience and will include additional rewards and benefits.*
