About the Role

The position-holder is responsible for creation, maintenance and quality assurance of security master, portfolio master and accounting data as well as ongoing maintenance, design, documentation and testing of processes and interfaces aimed to do so related to the Investment Accounting system, EDM (Enterprise Data Management) system and other systems Data Management has responsibility for maintenance. The person is responsible also for verification of accounting data related to security amortized values, book analytics and market analytics, participating or leading of User Acceptance Testing, executing conversion process of new acquisitions, portfolio transfers and mergers, business shifts and research of mark-to-market discrepancies.

 

The position's related responsibility includes assurance of appropriate delivery and follow up on stakeholders' demand and undertaking of specific financial requests and ad-hoc tasks as required by business. That involves close cooperation with internal or external business units, identification of process deficiencies and inefficiencies and proposal as well as implementation of appropriate solutions.

 

The person works independently under little to no supervision, engages in active cross-functional knowledge sharing and embraces the best practices and values across Finance and AM.

 

Key accountabilities

  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of accounting and reporting figures related to a wide range of investment products, including bonds, equities, ABS/MBS, exotic derivatives, infrastructure investment… as well as integrity and consistency of mark-to-market data
  • Creation and processing of transfers of securities between investment portfolios
  • Verify accuracy of yield, book analytics and market analytics (yield, duration…) between investment accounting system and 3rd party vendors, research discrepancies and perform corrections and assess reasonableness if no source is available
  • to develop, maintain and test data interfaces to guarantee an optimal security master data flow throughout the Asset Management and Finance IT landscape and promptly detect and address any issues or deficiencies in the data flow
  • Identification of process deficiencies and inefficiencies and proposal as well as implementation of appropriate solutions.
  • Security classification for reporting and regulatory purposes, including NAIC, Solvency II, US GAAP…
  • Participating in projects or leading small to mid-size projects with defined scope related to development and integration of new systems, data management solutions and platforms by creating specifications, cooperating with business analysts, testing and signing-off the results.
  • Assisting in processing, compiling, balancing, and reconciling of new Legal Entities
  • Interaction, close communication and collaboration with internal and external parties and client representatives
  • Perform other position's related tasks as instructed by Supervisor and any other ad hoc tasks as required from time to time

 

About You

  • University degree in Economics, preferably Accounting, Finance/Banking/Investments
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments and general knowledge of financial markets
  • Some previous related experience
  • Language skills: English fluent written and spoken
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking
  • Knowledge of Investment or banking systems
  • Team player with a strong communication skills
  • Time management skills and adherence to deadlines
  • Works productively in the face of ambiguity or uncertainty, readily adapts to different ways of doing things.
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision
  • Good verbal and written business communication skills

Minimum base salary for this job from 1500 EUR gross/month/full time. Our offer to you may be higher based on your skills and experience and will include additional rewards and benefits. *
