Senior Financial Analyst
About the Role
Are you looking for a rare opportunity to learn about Solvency II? We provide you with the chance to gain a deep understanding of our business, Solvency II and economic valuation reporting of a major legal entity of the Reinsurance business leader. You will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and will be responsible for the Solvency II quantitative and narrative reporting and co-ordination, development, understanding and analysis of the results on a quarterly and annual basis.
Main tasks:
- Maintain good and robust processes for all Solvency II deliverables
- Organize, prepare and deliver very good quality Solvency II quantitative and narrative reporting in the required timeframe to management, the Board of Directors and the Regulator
- In depth understanding of balance sheet, P&L positions and capital requirement including variance analysis on a quarterly and annual basis
- Builds and understands the full legal entity Solvency II and economic valuation story line.
- Continually enhances systems and processes to meet Solvency II Regulatory requirements. Ensures optimal and efficient Solvency II processes involving close development work and coordination with other Finance teams, IT and Risk divisions and their teams.
- Wide collaboration and visibility across the organization and in various locations with all teams, from different functions involved in Solvency II delivery
- Ensures compliance with internal and external audit requirements and control standards.
- Will work closely with the Solvency II Team Leader on various Solvency II related matters and support with ongoing ad hoc tasks and/or projects.
- The position acts with a high degree of autonomy & discretion within the delegated authority
About the Team
We are looking for a qualified and highly motivated professional to join our Carrier Reporting & Analysis Services team. Jointly and in close collaboration with the Carrier team in Luxembourg, the team plays a pivotal Finance role in the preparation, analysis and reporting of financial information for all valuations of one of the biggest legal entity of Swiss Re Group.
About you
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Risk and/or Actuarial sciences
- University degree in Risk, Actuarial sciences, Accounting, Business administration or Economics
- Strong focus on delivering high quality output within tight timeframes
- Ability to understand complex processes and quickly and efficiently adapt to changes
- Highly motivated individual used to working in a highly performance driven, professional and international environment
- Excellent command of the English language, French language is an advantage
- Reinsurance/insurance operational knowledge and Solvency II experience is an advantage
