About the Role

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the European carrier reporting teams with analysis, reports and accounting support according to Luxembourg statutory accounting policies, and Solvency II valuation principles for Swiss Re International SE. As a member of our team, you support the production of quantitative and qualitative Solvency II reports for the insurance regulator. This position is in close liaison with all other functions involved in Solvency II reporting such as Risk Management, Actuarial Team, Tax, Investment Reporting team and Finance Reinsurance.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Assist in all aspects of quantitative and qualitative financial reporting as required under Solvency II regulations
  • Support the enhancement of systems and processes to meet future Solvency II requirements
  • Complete reconciliation process between Solvency II, Luxembourg Statutory and US GAAP reporting
  • Co-ordination of Annual and Quarterly Solvency II financial statements
  • Presentation of results and key drivers to CFO for approval
  • Submissions to respective Management Committees and Board of Directors and Luxembourg Regulator CAA
  • Participate in creating awareness of Solvency II requirements and developed solutions
  • Ensure compliance with the risk and control framework and audit requirements
  • Identification and evaluation of operational improvements
  • Deputize your colleague within the team
  • Participation in finance transformation project

 

About the Team

We are a team of 9 people responsible for supporting the European carrier reporting teams with analysis, reports and accounting support according to Swiss and Luxembourg statutory accounting policies and economic valuation principles for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Ltd and Swiss Re International SE. You will have opportunity to improve the team's delivery processes and cooperation with our partners.

 

About You

 

  • Five or more years of work experience in the financial services industry (insurance / reinsurance operational knowledge an advantage)
  • Profound knowledge regarding external financial reporting
  • Solvency II knowledge an advantage, but can be acquired
  • Experience in USGAAP/IFRS and Economics Valuations Methodology desirable
  • Excellent analytical skills and holistic approach
  • Advanced user of Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience with ERP such as SAP or Oracle is an advantage
  • Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages are welcomed
  • Confident presentation skills as you will be presenting to senior management
  • You like working in a team
  • You are motivated to learn new things

Minimum base salary for this job from 1500 EUR gross/month/full time. Our offer to you may be higher based on your skills and experience and will include additional rewards and benefits. *
